Edward has recently joined MIDFIX as a junior commercial assistant. Here we catch up with Edward to discuss his new role and what interests him outside of work.
What is your role at MIDFIX?
My role at MIDFIX is a Junior Commercial Assistant, so I’ll be dealing with quotes, pricing them up, and converting them into orders – a very busy and exciting job, driving the business forward, striving for excellence every day.
What interests you about commercial services?
It’s an excellent department to work in, there’s a busy and vibrant atmosphere where results are seen. Furthermore, the calibre of people involved are dedicated and motivational which is a breeding ground for potential and personal development.
What do you do in your spare time?
Various things, I’m a fairly practical person, so enjoy DIY – any trade, I’m up for it. Being a young and energetic person I enjoy exercising in the open air, spending time with family and friends, cherishing the great treasures of life.
What do you most enjoy about working at MIDFIX?
There are many things, but I think one of the main points is the excellent culture throughout the whole company, whether it’s the warehouse, the workshop, the office – anywhere it’s a happy and thriving and inspirational culture.
Do you have any advise for people wanting a career in this field?
Go for it. If you’re wanting a fast-paced environment where potential is turned into results, this is the perfect opportunity for you. There are challenges, the same with any job, but the rewarding character of this job is what makes it such a pleasure.
