Fire tested vs fire rated: what it means for M&E supports

Fire tested means a support arrangement went through a fire test: one layout, one load, one span, one fire curve, one duration. Fire rated suggests a rating that follows the channel or bracket to every job, and for supports that does not exist, because fire resistance belongs to the arrangement in its application.
